♥ from Hermana Miller week 57 (10-26-20)

It was a week for the books!!! So crazy, you gotta have the dry transfers to have the wet ones and this one is definitely splashin'! ðŸ˜…

We were able to find and challenge four separate people to be baptized this week, and ALL of them accepted, we have three prospects for next week too, and we are just busier than can be. I dont know why except that the Lord is so good to us, we aren't doing anything extraordinary, just doing the best we can and being bold. I love getting to be a missionary and getting to be bold and straightforward with those we teach about repentance and baptism, there's a power that comes when you push someone to be their best because that's what their Heavenly Father wants for them, and He backs us up big time. So so neat.

I have a new companion named Hermana Schmidt, she is also from Utah, in fact, although she didn't know Hermana Porray before her mission, they have a lot of the same friends and are a lot alike, and we all work really well together. It's a big blessing, the unity in our companionship that has allowed us to have the spirit and have such a wonderful start to a new transfer. Also, I reaped the rewards of my garden for the first time this week: a cherry tomato!! It was delicious and I am very proud:)

Anyway, today it's 65 degrees with strong wind and I'm FREEZING. I'm in the house wearing a huge sweatshirt😅. I'll have a hard time heading back to Idaho haha.

Hope all is well with all of you, thank you for your support and prayers,

Hermana Miller

p.s second pic was taken for a video we had to make, but it's in the trailer park we live in and the fourth pic is of our companionship with Sister Romo the  amazing member that we live with... she is the best- in fact, we call her Tia. ♥

♥ from Arizona week 55 (10-19-20) and week 56

Sorry everyone, I have so little time to do what needs to be done on preparation days! Especially because tomorrow is our transfer day (I'm staying in this area though) and so we are shuffling bedrooms in the house. No one is quite as excited as I am about the "change of scenery" but it gets me pumped up to have a new vibe, you know? Everyone else is stressed out of their minds and probably wishing they didn't live with me haha. They call me the "endless energy bunny with a hammer". I'm running out of property  service projects. This week we redid and organized the shed, took car loads of junk to the dump, planted flowers, and refurbished a giant wardrobe in the dark. I may have found a few new hobbies:)

Our area is on the uphill, and we are proud of that, it's been tough, but we finally have a small teaching pool, and they are doing great. One family in particular (la familia Iturrios) is a miracle! I've passed by their home a million times and no ever answers. But it was 8:50 one night and we needed to head home, but we were right by their home, so we went, and they were there! They are so neat and I think here shortly we can challenge them to be baptized. So sweet!

Anyways, today we went to the mall, and there we met a sweet old man named Jean. One of the sisters I was with said something I thought was really sweet, "We are just your reminder that today God is aware of you and He loves you." I hope this email is that for somebody today! It's TRUE! He knows, just trust Him and hold on! Cheering you on from Mesa,

Hermana Miller

♥ from Hermana Miller weeks 52-54

Sorry everyone, it has been a minute! But I'm doing well, happy to be back at it... (my housemates got sick and so we had to quarantine all of last week). We received a referral this week of a little 9 yr old girl named Angelic who will be baptized on October 24! She is super cute, and it is fun to spend time with her.

If you missed the October General Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, no worries, you can still catch it.  I promise it will uplift you and it will change your heart if you let it. ( https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/general-Conference?lang=eng )

My companion Hermana Porray is doing amazing (this is her first transfer) she is a quick learner and always so humble and willing. She is so wonderful and I really enjoy her! I also love my district a lot, these guys feel like my brothers.:) They even came over to take pictures with my rooster, Keffrey. I'm a proud mom!

Well I hope everyone is doing well and is getting excited for fall, I'm missing the changing colors,  the cool breeze, hot chocolate, sweater weather, pumpkin spice and well, you get the idea! Enjoy changing seasons for me and I'll enjoy an endless summer for you😉.

Lots of love from Mesa,
Hermana Miller
