This is it! My last missionary email. Sorry it's taken me so long to do it... I just haven't been quite ready to sit down and try to put into words all that my mission experience meant to me. Finally I just decided that it's okay that I can't! You all know those things that are just too much for words! 

 I know that God led to me paths and people on purpose, that the things I've learned and the people I've met have already blessed my life immeasurably, and I know blessings will continue to unfold for the relationships that I've made as a missionary. I love that He has a perfect plan that He so readily reveals to us if we will seek it. I know that the gospel is simple, but it's also simply perfect: Love God and love His children. I know that as we do so, we will find peace and joy, things that the world doesn't offer. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in God's restored church on the earth, and that the covenants we make in God's holy temples are the key to progress in this life and the life to come; if we will keep those promises and keep His commandments, one day we will find ourselves all together as families that can live together forever because we've been found worthy of so great a blessing! I love the Book of Mormon. I know it to be true because I feel peace when I read it, as every honest seeker of truth does and will. Please read it everyday! It's changing my life:) I'm grateful for a Heavenly Father who loves me and knows me perfectly. Who allows me the chance to have this beautiful (and messy) mortal experience, and who never lets me mess it up too bad. I'm grateful beyond words for the Savior and His Atonement that allows me to be just a little bit better today. I'm so grateful for the opportunity I've had to be a special representative of Jesus Christ. I love Him! I know He is real and that He lives. I know that He can be a part of our daily lives if we'll let Him, and that is the way to be happy today and everyday 'til we get to eternity:).

I loved being a missionary. Lucky for me, missions don't have to end when we take off the tag, our Heavenly Father has a special mission in store for each of us, and my Ecuador/Arizona mission has just been the best part of my life mission so far.

I can't wait to see what's next! 

Thank you for your support during my time as a missionary! I felt your love and prayers and I love each and every one of you! (Shoutout to Emma for reminding me she's been waiting for this, you're the best:)

Hello my sweet missionary

I just wanted to share this with you last night dad and I couldn’t fall asleep very well so we were talking a lot about you and Emma like we always do and I asked him what he remembered about his last day as a missionary Like his last full day in the field and he said “nothing” And even when he tried to sit and think about it he still couldn’t really remember very much of any of those experiences during the wind up because it’s not like everyone you’ve ever loved ever taught is it in one room where you get to go around it feel all the feelings and you’re busy packing and making sure your companions having a good day and doing all the things that you need to wrap things up

And that made me think about the pressure or expectation we have for how things go or how things are and some of the nerves you’re probably dealing with and emotions just generally- so I just share that with you because how today goes doesn’t define your mission or doesn’t have to be some grand summation of every experience you’ve ever had or necessarily representative of all the love you felt and all the highs/ lows- it might just be a day- just go about it without any  extra pressure on yourself for it to be something or for it not to be something just let it be what it is I know that that is more than enough- you’ve been showing up every single day of your mission Sadie Jane- whatever today is or isn’t you’ll still  show up and the light up  wherever you are

At your apartment:

Pack—Two checked bags, no more, limit 50 pounds each plus carry-on

            Prepare an overnight bag, as you will not have access to your luggage on your last night.

            You will spend the last night in your apartment, except Elder Butler, who will spend the night at the APs apartment

                **If you need to mail items home because your luggage will exceed the 50 lb. weight limit, please do so before your departure day.

Clean your room/apartment.  Leave it clean and tidy, all food and other possessions taken care of.

                                                            Bring to the office only:

Accumulated mission supplies in good condition                  Unopened packages of food, not expired

Proselyting clothing in good condition (Sisters Only)                    

                                                (NO exercise clothing, open personal care products, or shoes.)

            Dispose of all opened food and personal care products. Haul away all belongings you’re leaving             behind: to trash, Deseret Industries pods (code 8738) at stake centers, Goodwill, etc.

 

Monday, April 5^th   - Everyone except Elder Mecham: Bring your luggage to the side classroom entrance of the Mission Office at 4:15. (Keep your overnight bag at your apartment, except Elder Butler, you need to bring yours) The scale will be there. Weigh luggage and shift things if necessary.

 

Return borrowed mission phones to Elder Bay.  Return Tiwi card to Elder Pierce.

If you are on bike, bring your bike, helmets, locks, etc.   Your luggage will be stowed in the classroom.

 

4:45 PM – Elder Mecham meet to join farewell dinner.

 

All Departing Missionaries -  At 4:50 – you will go to the Stake Center for the evening.  After the dinner and testimony meeting, President and Sister Andrews will hand you your departure binder, with your itinerary, boarding pass, and passport (if you brought one) in the front inside pocket.

 

7:30 PM – Your rides should pick you up at the Citrus Heights Stake Center and take you back to your apartments.

 

Tuesday, April 6^th     Please be on time! If not early!

 

6:00 AM –  Sister Leany and Sister Miller, meet at the Mission Office to head to the airport.

 

7:15 AM – Sister Diehl and Sister Davis, meet at the Mission Office to head to the airport.

 

8:30 AM – Elder Mecham, meet at the mission office for your parents to pick you up.

 

8:40 – Elder Arbon, Elder Butler, Elder Carter, Sister Clegg, Elder Douglas, Sister Elmer, Sister Huerta, and Sister Maughan, meet at the Mission Office to head to the airport.

 

You will be missed.
